Feast of the Chair of St. Peter the Apostle
Lord Jesus, unto your disciples you gave the burden of the Church’s work. Forever your Church shall persist, in grandeur or in poverty and resolute against the gates of hell. Preserve your Church for we faithful Lord, and defend it against the corrupting powers of the Evil One. Amen.
