His Holiness Pope Francis made a historic visit to the United Arab Emirates from February 3-5. The visit is the first time a sitting Pontiff visited the Arabian Peninsula – the birthplace of Islam. On the trip, he celebrated a public mass in front of more than 100,000 people at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi.
Pope Francis’ visit underscores the UAE’s commitment to inclusion and religious freedom.
