HOLY MOTHER CHURCH
O Church of God, you are the best mother, you alone can rear a soul and cause it to grow. Oh, how great is my love and respect for the Church, the best of all mothers! (Diary, 197)
Reflection
What a gift, what a priceless treasure, Jesus began for us. As in the times of the apostles and now, led by the Holy Spirit. Yes, over the years, members have misused it, have betrayed it, have been the source of others fleeing from it. But still, and always, it endures. Still, and always, it is one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic. It is sacramental. It is ours.
Prayer
O Dear Lord, help me be a member of Your Church who attracts others to it, who draws others closer to You.
Jesus, I trust in You.
