Daily Prayer: Lord God, we want to value our oaths

Memorial of the Passion of St. John the Baptist

Lord God, we want to value our oaths and agreements with each other above our relationship with you. We thus bring harm upon ourselves and our relationship with you when the machinations of men lead us into sin. May you be our focus always, O Lord, in all that we do. Amen.
