Wealth is the great temptation of the world, Lord, for through it all other manners of sin are made possible to us. Those who lavish themselves in decadence and excess are slaves to the world, rich in possessions but poor in spirit. Inspire charity in us, that we may be forever free of worldly temptation. Amen.
