Thanks Connie. You've definitely given me some food for thought! Always good to keep learning and growing! Blessings lady.

I personally have always favored adding the words to the Our Father, "For Thine is the kingdom..." I have been saying it that way for many years. I have also developed the habit whenever I hear the siren of a police car on its way to an accident, or that of an ambulance, of saying the Our Father, a Hail Mary and the Trinity Prayer for whomever might be in need.

Jack, I think that's a great idea--praying when you hear a siren. It would be nice to know someone is praying for me--if and when the time comes that I need a firefighter or ambulance!

A friend taught me this lesson from her Grandmother: whenever she heard a siren she said, "Via con Dios."

I too pray whenever I hear a siren, both for the people needing help and for the safety of those driving the emergency vehicles.

Thanks for speaking my mind. I laughed out load and shared this story with strangers in the Dallas airport; we were all guilty!
