  • I love this, Becky! You said so much! It reminded me of a time a when I was "adding chaos to the moment" with all my shoulda-coulda-woulda's. A dear Sister friend told me to quit "shoulding" all over myself! I laughed, but it stuck with me! Blessings dear one!

  • Becky, this is one of the continually difficult things for me in parenting--letting go of the way I want things and accepting the reality of my situation with lots of little ones. Good for you that you were able to set aside trivial things, focus on what's most important, and enjoy the moment even after it had past. I pray for the ability to do this daily. God bless you!

  • WOW! You have captured what so many of us feel and think. At the same time, you have given us permission to "let go" and "be in the moment". Thanks for reminding us to acknowledge, embrace, and capture the "holy pauses" this holiday season.

  • Ok- this made me cry!!! I have felt so overwhelmed lately, especially adding a new job during naptime and doing Christmas with three this year. I felt like I was pushing through all the traditions, with less enjoyment as before. I feel like I am turning into a Martha. Now that Christmas is over, I am so happy to have a few days and might make those gingerbread houses in January that I never got to! By the way, your Christmas card never got mailed from us-ha- maybe that is good in Jan too!
