  • While we're on the subject of not understanding, I'd really like it if God could also show me what on earth my teenager is thinking. But you're right, Mary. Sometimes we just have to use that wonderful gift of intuition he gave us. Maybe our cats and dogs (and teens) were sent to us, in part, to help us develop that intuition.

  • I know exactly what you mean!!!! But I do love putting words in the mouths to match their expressions and antics. It is very difficult though when something seems to be wrong or painful.

  • I loved your story. It reminded me of some stories I read on a blog called One of them was about a cat who won the hearts of the folks there and another about a pet duck and the third about an owl. There were many others, but obviously, the animal and nature tales and tails speak to me. Keep up the good work!

  • I had the same thought, Connie! Trying to figure out what our kids want can be such a challenge... But, honestly, lately I've been struggling with deciding how to serve my spouse more. Sometimes direct instructions would be helpful! :) Very good point, Mary!
