  • I've always found the Rosary to be a very special way to pray!

  • I'm wondering if there's a way to say the rosary and feel like I've prayed? I find it so mind wonders, the repetition seems boaring and often I fall asleep...all in all making me feel very guilty.

  • Dear Unknown, Find a place where you can be alone (just like Jesus often did). Pray the Rosary while standing up. Keep it plain and precious, as the Mormons would say, and don't worry about "getting something out of it." Just by trying to pray, you have reached out to God, Who is constantly reaching out to us. Peace be with you!

  • I am not Catholic and am considering becoming one.I am new to praying the rosary, cecause I seem to be drawn to it. How does one keep it from getting dry and mechanical?

  • To keep the Rosary from getting boring focus on the mysteries (that's why we have them ;^) and put yourself there with Jesus and Mary. BE at the Annunciation with Mary and experience the awe of the moment. Watch as the soldiers put the crown on His head and mock Him. Put your hand into His side at the Resurrection and be filled with amazement and faith. Being there and walking alongside Mary during these specific moments in the life of Christ and His Church is a very new experience each and every time you pray the Rosary.

  • Many people tend to have a hard time "getting into" the rosary. For me, it seems the more I pray it, the more I get out of it. Stick with it and one day something will click and you'll be hooked. Thank you all for your great comments on my first post.

  • I was confirmed about 3 yrs. ago. In the past 2 wks. while visiting shut-ins, I've had 2 ladies tell me they never pray the rosary -- they go straight to the top, as they say. They were surprised that I, a "new" catholic, was so enthralled in the rosary. My resonse was this: "When I don't know how to pray, or what to ask, the rosary is a way to pray for the Virgin Mother to assist me and intercede. She knows what I want to say."
