  • I don't know why you think you have to wit til the next life to figure out God's reasoning. If you know it (ADD) He knew it and thought you would feel worse being a failure as a judge where other peoples' lives would have been involved then the pain of losing an election. I know what you mean about straightening Him out though! He and I have words all the time when I disagree with some of His decisions. And then He sends me a DUH message and I get it. Makes life so much morre exciting His way. Annoying but exciting!

  • Mike, thanks for sharing something that must have been difficult to share. But seeing your smiling face in your photo tells me that you've accepted God's will with grace, joy, and true wit. Something tells me you'll get plenty of opportunities in the next life to share a laugh with the Old Man out about all of this!

  • Hi Mike! Great story. I, too, am no stranger to failure. And I think that when you learn from it you realize a little bit of why you had to go through it. People don't grow when things are going good. They grow after failures and wrestling with God as to why it had to happen this way. Only then do we get the insight (or hindsight) that we need to get the lesson. Thanks for sharing!
