  • Wow! You always amaze me with your insight. I have been guilty of asking that same question too many times - "Where is God in this?" Bless you for reminding me to look for HIM in everything.

  • Mary, I couldn't have said it any better.. what a beautiful way to answer such a difficult question. We all know God is with us in all things.. sometimes we have to be reminded. Thanks, Mary..

  • I have heard people ask that same question when they have had a tragedy, but you have answered it well. HE is always with us and some do not choose to acknowledge it. They think God would never allow such things, but he did not say we would live a life without pain and suffering. He is always there to help us through. God has brought us to it and he will help us through it.

  • My Sister In Christ.. thank you for bringing that question forward... It seems after looking back that I have asked the same of Gods place during such awful times.. but knowing exactly where he was for me when say a family member passed.... HE was holding me.. now I Can say.. HE was there that day for me that day also... Some things I will never understand..and that's ok.. Peace be with you

  • Your answer is right on target except for the pronoun. We must stop the exclusive use of the male image. God is also Mother and she wept with her children that day as she held the dying, wiped the tears, nursed the wounded, etc. God, our father, seeks his lost sheep; God, our mother, sweeps the house until she finds her lost coin. Limiting God to one pronoun makes God too small. But thank you for sharing that this wondrous God was also present in those who caused the tragedy.
