  • Lifted up by your article "on the wings of an eagle." The messages from God, especially the ones of validation, when you have sought a closer connection, are spectacular. You will remember this personal message and now, so will I. Thank you for your "soaring" inspiration.

  • Beautiful Rich! Such imagery! I've always been in awe of the Bald Eagle, and have seen several here in Kentucky, but never as close up as you did that day! You truly were being blessed. May your blessings continue!

  • Congratulations for writing about the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I am convinced that every sacrament just as we did after the Second Vatican council has to be renewed once again today. I ahve by thegraceofGod becasue ofthe reterat hosue eaby he novitaite in the Antipolo, Philippines many occasions to hear confessions, sacraments of reconciliation. My partners and I have even written a piece on this Sacrament and have asked that it be incorporated in the retreats. Most of the confession periods of the Sacrament of Reconciliation are very real: dealing with reconciliation with oneself ( of which you talk about in terms of freedom) of reconciliation with others, of reconciliation with his Church, of reconciliation with God. Reconciliation with the Church because it seems to ask so much of us; reconciliation with God because most people want revenge on him for the suffering in their lives. Recently I heard the Reconciliation of a young man who had not been to the Sacrament for a longtime, who even knew the Latin term for his sin. i would like to do spiritual direction with him even though he lives far enough away form here What a grace it is to have a priest listen to us as we reconcile with oneself, with others, with the Church and with God. We can even add other entities: nature, ecology etc. . Thank you for writing on this Sacrament. May it be a source of renewal for all of us.
