  • That was a very nice blog Mary! And your mom is a very admirable, wonderful person! And she is right.... worrying won't help anyone. My mom is a very brave woman too, but sometimes she gives in to worries and I remember back then am the one who's always telling her not to worry coz worrying will only aggravate things and will not do her any good. And she listens to me, bless her heart! Am a day to day person, I live for the day, I don't worry bout tomorrow, I just leave it up to the Good Lord the "tomorrow". And I was very happy to know that am doing the right thing! Years back I started reading the Bible...(but not everyday, only once in a while) but I don't know how to do it the proper way, if there is a proper way.... shld it be from page 1 to the last, or whatever. So I decided I will start from the beginning and to be honest about it... it's a little boring. So I decided to start with Matthew and there I read under Chapter 6, verses 25 to 34 that we should not worry bout tomorrow! I was very happy to know that am doing the right thing! I can't believe that it is in the Bible! And to quote verse 34: "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own". I just want to share this with you and with everyone. And "worrying" is a sin.

  • Your post reminds me of the serenity prayer--"God grant me to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." There's so much out of my control and worrying or trying to control it just makes me crazy. :) Nice thoughts.
