  • How beautiful, how touching! Pope John Paul was the Pope when I came into the Church, the only one I'd known until he passed away. As I prepared to become Catholic I often looked at him on the T.V. & in magazines, and he seemed so human, so reachable. He helped make the Church seem that way to me too. I still miss him. Thanks Connie, for making me think of him one more time today. Bless you.

  • Thank you, Connie, for your beautiful article. Thank you also for your perseverance in getting into the church to pray for the Pope. It is more than symbolic that you had to pass around a thorny barrier to pray. I thought of Our Lord's Crown of Thorns when I read about the cactus.
