You've touched my heart Connie. This says so much. Who among us hasn't wanted to be the "hero"? Who among us hasnt' had loss? Thanks for the reminder that it's important to start everything with prayer. Have a blessed Christmas.

The praying first part...that's the kicker isn't it! Thanks for that reality check. (Why is your phone male?)

Wow, why IS my phone a guy? Hmmm. I'll have to think about that one. My car is also a guy. Anyone else do that? I think I need to write another blog about that!

Connie -your words always touch my heat in such a wondeful way. You have a true gift in the art of story telling.

Fantastic writing, Connie. Seriously. I love your humor, your insight. I so often replace multi-tasking with relationships...it's one of my greatest downfalls. Ask my kids as I type this while I should be cooking dinner! Yikes! Thanks for the reminder to pray in a special way for those who have lost loved ones this year...Now, to google that poem. Merry Christmas, friend!

Connie, so well said...Your words have made me think about how I've been preparing for this wonderful season...thank you for all you do! Oh, and yes I name my car...his name is Chuck but no I don't name my phones...but now I should!
