  • What a great topic - wanted to share an amazing month-long focus on marriage program we are running called Hot Summer Nights. Each day in July we are running an article focused on various aspects of marriage, passion, love, and faith from some amazing authors! See what speaks to you: http://enterundermyroof.blogspot.com/2013/05/hot-summer-nights-marriage-passion-love.html

  • Also on the topic of marriage & love, I wanted to recommend 2 books that I am working my way through: From the Popular Patristics Series…St. John Chrysostom: On Marriage & Family Life from St. Vladimir’s Seminary Press: http://www.svspress.com/on-marriage-and-family-life/. And The Cantata of Love: A Verse by Verse Reading of The Song of Songs by Blaise Arminjon, S.J. from Ignatius: http://www.ignatius.com/Products/COL-P/the-cantata-of-love.aspx. The latter was recommended to me by the Sisters at Christ the Bridegroom Monastery where I was blessed to recently make a mini-retreat.

  • Thank you for your book recommendations. I'd like to recommend a book(s) you might enjoy and be able to share. It's a brand new book by Dr. Tony Evans and his daughter, Chrystal Evans Hurst, "Kingdom Woman." (Dr. Evans also wrote "Kingdom Man.") This is an excellent book for all women, of course including wives and mothers. They wrote it to “challenge women to look higher than where you are to whose you are, and to be transformed by the truth.” The book encourages women to pursue what God has created them to be. They even have free downloads at kingdomwomanbook.com. It has really blessed me and would be an inspiration for any marriage and parenting growth. I hope it blesses you, too!
