  • It is as if this was written for me. I have said before one of my biggest fears would be if others could read my mind. I spend quite a bit of time trying not to speak things that pop in my head, not thinking them seems out of reach sometimes. I prayed one time starting out with God, you are the one who created me surely you saw this coming. I will say that when I purposfully take the time to include prayer morning noon and night, my thoughts are much nicer. Imagine that, if I do what I am suppose to, my path becomes easier.

  • You've done it again, girl! I have just started my work day and this is the first thing I've seen .... talk about jumping up and smacking me in the face! I am doing a lot better (not perfect) of guarding my tongue but my thoughts, well, they are running rampant. Bless you for making me aware of how much those thoughts are keeping me from God's grace and mercy. Lent is a perfect time to ponder this process and do something about it. Thank you for sharing your wonderful insight.

  • In the same prayer, "...or what I have failed to do" are the words I've committed to for Lent. Could I have been more helpful?, more visits to the aged or ill?. Did I prioritize my own needs above a simple act of kindness? The days that I am most grateful are the days that I've been sure to do something for another.

  • Here is a quotation valuable for Lenten meditation and action: Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny. Tryon Edwards, 1809-1894, American Theologian and author of the New Dictionary of Thoughts, a book of quotations May the Lord Bless you and keep you.

  • Your blog struck a cord with me. I am continuously fighting fleeting thoughts in my head that I know 'the evil one' has put there. I just turn it over to God, and ask for forgiveness. After all, he knows us inside and out.
