(Join each day’s Coffee Talk discussion: Mon: Parenting; Tues: Open Forum; Wed: NFP; Thu: Marriage; Fri: Education; Sat/Sun: Changing Roles)

Our weekend forum is for issues related to "the sandwich generation." Coping with menopause, caring for aging parents, relations with adult children, grandchildren, going back to work after years at home. Want to hash out a difficulty, get some advice or share a strategy?

  • Just wanted to put something cheerful on here today. I hurt myself at work yesterday and my Mom and Dad came to pick me up. My Dad drove my Jeep to their house and my husband came to rescue me shortly after. As old as we are, (I'm 53) we sometimes rely on Mom and Dad to help us. My kindergarten class was so funny when I told them my Mom and Dad were coming to pick me up. And they all wanted a hug and kiss before I left. Have a great Saturday everyone!

  • That is just so cute! I can imagine all the little faces with big wide eyes after you told them who was picking you up! Thanks for sharing.
