  • My daughter who had a MA in Education, educational counseling, with a PPS credential, opted to take a counseling job at an all girls Catholic high school (thank goodness most are still single sex). She was delighted to be at a school where she could talk about values , share her Catholic faith. When she got there, the new principal (not the one who hired her) said, haha as well as being the only counselor for the school, you have to teach 3 classes, and with a host of other responsibilities, she worked 18 hour days, 7 days a week...in a very, very poor school that needed a full time counselor (and more). At the end of the year, she was laid off so they could replace her with a part time person, substantially less (did I mention she was paid less than 1/2 what a public school counselor would make?) The principal cried and said she would write her a letter or recommendation ...but never did ..(the priest did, as well as the head of humanities Dept.)...and of course Catholic schools are exempted from paying into unemployment insurance ..so they can use, abuse, and spit out people...Hers is no at all an unususal story..she misses. "her girls " ..loves being Catholic, well educated, but used and driven out of Catholic education which still makes her sad..and in this poor economic time, unemployed.) Shame on the Church for another abuse of the human spirit..she deserves better....our children deserve better!

  • To Wondering: Catholic Schools here have to pay into unemployment, it's the law! I'm in NYC. It's sad your daughter had such a bad experience, It's true we don't get paid as much and have to put in just as much time as Public School teachers with not as many preps etc. It's unfortunate that Catholic Schools have become "businesses". Those of us who are teaching in the CS system are becoming disheartened. I wish there was a solution.

  • I feel unequivocally that 500-285 Exam like me - most malignancy patients are never given instruction and exhortation about what can be accomplished through normal activity and a change of 300-209 Exam eating routine. There is a lot of traditional therapeutic research that backings their quality in disease treatment and its a view that is gradually making progress. 350-050 Exam
