Twelve Years A Slave

SDG, I think "most slave movies" include the original Star Wars trilogy, in which Boba Fett flies a ship called Slave One. It's pretty clear to me. ;) Enjoyed the review, and hope to see the movie soon.

I'm just wondering what-all "most slave movies" Mark Hall is thinking of. I've been racking my brains to come up with one single, solitary fact-based motion picture of any note about the lives of any actual slave or slaves … and, weeks later, I've got bupkis. And I know a thing or two about movies.

I appreciated this review. SDG a "head in the sand liberal." Ha. Thought I had heard it all.

Would you mind explaining what the "rule" for most slaves was? Thank you, Mr.Greydanus, for your reviews. They have been very helpful through the years.

Yes, like most slave movies, this movie focuses on exceptions instead of the rule and leaves a very slanted and biased picture of what actually happened. I'm not surprised a head in the sand liberal like you drinks more koolaid from the political correctness bowl. For a refreshing change, why don't you really get surprised and look into the Country of Liberia, where the generous and kind white people of this Country buy an entire Country for these poor blacks?? No, that just wouldn't fit your brainwashed view of your upside down world. Please find some work you do well.
