i also think the Harry Potter books set a great example for young children and can inspire them. Like the example with your daughter and "sticking with friends through danger" there is countless other examples and lessons children can take from the novels great characters. Many times Harry and his friends face criticism and even to the point where they become outcasts within the whole school but they simply stay to their word, turn the other cheek and stay strong with each other and good things happen. The courageous but modest Harry is the perfect example for any child.
