The new Catholic Digest is hitting mailboxes this week—have you received your copy yet?

If you are a subscriber, you should be receiving your copy of new Catholic Digest soon. I hope you will give me some feedback when you receive the re-launch issue. It is my hope that the magazine will serve you and meet your needs, so please don’t hesitate to tell me how we can do exactly that.

For those of you who are not yet subscribers, here are some highlights from this month’s issue, to give you an idea of our new content:

  • Your Faith & Family
The awesome Simcha Fisher wrote “How To Tame Your TV,” a parent’s guide to the why’s and how’s of controlling kids’ screen time. As always, her perspective is practical, balanced, and filled with laughs.
  • Marriage Matters
The amazing Hallie Lord wrote “He Said, She Said: A Woman’s Guide to Man-Talk,” in which she offers helpful insight into the challenges of communication between the sexes.
  • Q&A
In our Q&A, the indefatigable Lisa Hendey shares her recent interview with talk show host, comedian, and new author Lino Rulli. Rulli talks with Lisa about life, love, sin, and redemption, all with his typical wit and irreverent charm. We just love us some Lino!
  • Spiritual Support
Just in time for Lent, Daria Sockey offers “When God Feels Far Away,” a Catholic guide to times of spiritual dryness. Daria and the everyday Catholics she talked to for her article, offer the wisdom of experience and inspiration from the saints to give us all real help for spiritual struggles.
  • Saintly Celebrations
Are you hungry yet? St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and Lacy Rabideau of Catholic Icing fame has St. Paddy’s Day recipes, crafts, and beautiful photos to inspire and enhance your own family celebrations. Her shamrock pinwheels are a work of genius!

And more ...

This issue also includes a health column by the lovely and talented Kate Wicker, a sneak peek at the Oscars with DVD picks from Steven Greydanus, a thoughtful essay on family relationships byRachel Balducci, a really terrific article by RACHEL’S MOM, Karen Swenson, about grandparenting across the miles, and “Faith in a War Zone,” where Fr. John Burnette shares about the unique challenges he faces as a Catholic chaplain in Afghanistan.

And still more ...

In addition to all of the above, the March 2012 issue of Catholic Digest features a Lenten quiz, our book picks for Lent, Faith & Family feast days for March, a gift guide with dozens of ideas for First Communion and Confirmation gifts and celebrations, “His Turn” (a section by, for, and about Catholic men), advice columns, tips and ideas for everyday living, “Love Your Neighbor” (an up-close look at a Catholic ministry and its volunteers), and “Patrick’s Corner” by the eternally-popular Sean Patrick.

The new Catholic Digest is a work in progress, and we are here to serve you. I hope that you will give us your feedback to let us know how we can best meet your needs.

In the meantime, make sure you don’t miss out on all the good things we have planned for future issues. Subscribe today!
