Holy Father delivers message to America's youth

A Catholic Digest Papal Visit Exclusive

NEW YORK — Pope Benedict XVI concluded today's homily at Yankee Stadium with a special message for Americal's youth. "I was very touched," the Holy Father said, "at the celebration of our youth yesterday at St Joseph Seminary (the Youth Concert). "

The Pope seemed genuinely touched by the outpouring of affection he received from the young people there. Pope Benedict asked young Catholics to continue their enthusiasm and asked that they explore the reponsibilties of their Catholic faith. He requested also that they consider vocations to become priests, brothers and sisters.

Following the homily, the faithful began to chant Viva and BeneDET-to until the Holy Father acknowledged these outbursts of enthusiasm with an enthusuastic wave of his own to the crowd.

He then proceded with the Mass. CD
